Fonzie Zapata


Owner and Director of FDC, Professional Ballroom competitor and Certified Advanced instructor who has not only competed but also coached all over the U.S. with Over 30 years of experience in the ballroom industry amidst background in tap and folkloric dance. In 2001 was awarded Top pro/am teacher in the United States, among receiving numerous awards for Top Studio throughout his ongoing career. In 2005 he ranked 3rd in the world Mambo while also being one of only 15 people in the country to do over 400 entries alone in a single competition. Recognized for his choreography Both regionally and nationally in all styles of Competitive and partnership dances including American, international, social dances as well as soloist/group performances.

Barbara Fenley


Originally from Poland, Barbara has brought her dance knowledge to corpus christi, where she continues her ongoing education to stay updated with all new changes. As a former pro/am competitor Barbara now uses her philosophy to teach private, group lessons, style and technique classes while also  being known as the longest standing advanced Female instructor in Corpus Christi with over 20 Years experience of teaching competitive dance.

Brenda Nichols


Owner of "Just Gotta Dance!" Brenda has over 35 years of experience both as an amateur and professional instructor. Throughout her years country western was always a calling card. Competing in many country dance competitions it is a special expertise of Brenda's to teach anywhere from Country Swing, Waltz, Two-Step, Salsa, Polka Double-Two, One-Step and ChaCha.

Francene Moya


Beginning her teaching career in 1994 Francene has been hooked on dancing ever since. It has been her outlet to meeting so many wonderful people while creating emotional and personal connections with her students. Watching them grow over time with not only their dancing skills but also in their confidence. Currently in the process of composing a photo book for the Dance community to give a preview of instructors unique dancing stories along with their students. Francene teaches virtually any partnership dance such as social ballroom and all country western in addition to any special event dance choreography. 

Wade Fullingim


With background in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Swing and Martial Arts Wade always had big dreams of becoming a Solid Gold dancer. Beginning his professional career in 1998 when he became a certified Arthur Murray instructor and a Regional Professional Competitor. Wade has taught at many Dance studios throughout the U.S. Over the past couple of years gaining a very amusing nickname in the dance community known as "The Dip King". 

Viviana Rivera


Co-Owner and Manager of FDC. Viviana fell in love with dancing at a very young age, tapping into Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, POM, Pole, Salsa, and Bachata. Starting off as an amateur Pro/am competitor receiving 1st place in all her respected divisions throughout the Texas region. In just 1 short year of competition with instructor/partner Fonzie Zapata, Viviana is now a dedicated highly skilled ballroom dance instructor, a Diverse stage performer, and currently the only female in the Corpus Christi area that is a full time devoted Professional ballroom Pro/am competitor, amongst managing studio and staff operations gracefully she also trains daily in all forms of Ballroom Dance styles studying under her  Top renowned Coaches.

Katrina Ridley

Founder of Happy Body Fitness, a Hard working well rounded dancer and instructor. In order to progress her athleticism, technique and artistry Katrina spent most of her dancing career in London to research new and innovative ways to train and condition as a Superior Ballerina. With her time spent in London Katrina picked up a new love for American and international ballroom dance. After 12 years of pursuing her dance career Katrina has returned back to her hometown bringing down her practice and education from London, Now presenting Happy Body Fitness to FDC. A series of stretch, strength, condition and top level dance routines for all ages and all levels of dancers.

Georgina Reyes Cordero


Throughout her young years Gina has always been apart of her Schools dance team from junior high through high school she has obtained most of her dance knowledge from Coaches and routines that incorporated specific dance styles such as Hip-Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Cheer and POM with intense technical work like Leaps, turns, kicks, splits, jumps and extensions. Soon after, Gina completed her training on becoming a certified Yoga Instructor but with her energetic presence drawing from a strong background in fitness and dance she desired to become a Part-time Ballroom Basics instructor while pursuing her degree in nursing. 

Ruben Moreno

Ruben is as passionate as they come, with a former love of Hip-Hop and street dance from his roots R

With a former love and talent of Hip-Hop, Bachata,  salsa and street dance from his roots, Dancing and traveling quickly became a large part of life for Ruben growing up. For a short Period of time in Corpus Christi Ruben immersed himself in learning and training to become a ballroom instructor to use as a creative outlet for others. Dancing was not a quick study but he certainly loved the challenge. 15 years later upon his arrival back in CCTX, Ruben has dedicated himself once again to further his knowledge and help teach the art of Ballroom Dance while occasionally freestyling on the dance floor with his spare time in addition to his untamed spirit.  

Tetiana Andrasik

Solid technical knowledge creative sequencing Powerful blend of heartfelt compassion

Born in Ukraine a dedicated, ambitious student full of life came to the U.S. quickly making a career surrounded by dance. Fearless and joyful she jumped right in to learn as many styles as possible including but not limited to, Ukrainian dance, folk, jazz, lyrical, heels, Latin, Polynesian, standard ballroom, pole and American ballroom just to name a few. She is a certified cheer and dance coach for K-12 school districts. Now a staff Member at FDC, Tetiana sought out the best training possible in her region to be sure she was at the peak of her dance knowledge. 

Sofia flores


Originally from Monterrey, Mexico Sofia started her passion for dancing in junior high learning lyrical, step, acrobatics, cheer, hip-hop, kick,  jazz, pointe and contemporary. Making her way into beautiful Pensacola, Florida where she first learned and fell in love with the art of pole fitness, erotic chair, heels, strutfit and a variety of performance dances. Having a strong passion to teach dance and fitness, Sofia has Decided to bring her knowledge into Corpus Christi where she now teaches private lessons while also training to be a ballroom instructor at FDC.
